“Skyfall” Teaser Trailer and More!
Following the recent release of the Skyfall teaser poster, MGM released today the teaser trailer for the forthcoming James Bond movie.

Also released today was the first trailer for 007 Legends, a video game starring Daniel Craig as James Bond in re-imaginings of six classic Bond movies. Mission 1 was revealed to be based on Moonraker, which seems fun for a video game but very peculiar for the Craig era. Your thoughts, Bond fans? How do you feel about that movie being reinterpreted? What other Bond movies do you hope comprise the remaining five missions?

And just in case that’s not enough Bond for you, here’s the already-released trailer for the “Bond 50” Blu-ray box set. MGM announced today that they’re leaving an empty spot for Skyfall, meaning unlike most franchise box set releases, your 007 box won’t be out of date once the new movie hits shelves next year.

So, Bond fans, what excites you more? Skyfall, 007 Legends or the “Bond 50” box set with the first 22 movies in HD?
Just watched the teaser trailer you posted for Skyfall and I’m definitely in. Nice to see room made in a box set for an upcoming movie. Usually you get the boxset and then they release a new version of it the following year with the other film added, causing much sadness.
Not too keen on the Bond game posted here, but Jandy and I just received Goldeneye: Reloaded for xbox and are probably going to give that one a try when we can tear ourselves away from Minecraft. :)
Jon, I confess I’m a little less thrilled about them leaving open a spot for Skyfall in the “Bond 50” box set after I finally saw a photo of the inside of the box.

They’ve designed it as two hardback books with pages containing two discs apiece. That basically means they expect you to buy Skyfall on Blu-ray and then take it out of its package to insert into the book slot, leaving you with the release package lying around. There’s really no practical advantage to it.
What’s more, each disc is clearly labeled “BOND 50.” Unless they offer some kind of mail-away deal for owners of the box set to acquire a special “Bond 50”-consistent Skyfall disc, then they’re effectively asking you to take your Skyfall disc out of its actual package to slide into this box set, where it won’t even match the other discs.
Still, it’s possible they have a plan to address all this somehow. The most obvious method would be a mail-away special “Bond 50” edition Skyfall disc.
Of course, these are all ultimately minor concerns. The box set will feature the Blu-ray debut of nine catalog Bond titles, among them On Her Majesty’s Secret Service, The Spy Who Loved Me and GoldenEye. That’s pretty exciting!
