Good set of discussions this week! Kinda shocked that Apocalypse Now lost to Eternal Sunshine, but I haven’t actually seen Apocalypse Now so I couldn’t have voted. I just figured based on rep that it would’ve won. Interesting. I hadn’t seen There’s Something About Mary, either, but I would’ve been right there yelling to defend Tarantino. I think he’s doing far more than popcorn movies – I’d call him our generation’s Jean-Luc Godard, in fact.
“Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind” is a “love thing that grabs at you”. LOL.
