"This is one of the hardest match ups I've ever come across on here. I love both equally but for different reasons. Both are masterpieces of psychological horror and are in my top 20. The Shining has some of the greatest atmosphere I've ever seen in a film with Kubrick's flawless direction and pacing; it's such a fascinating study on isolation and madness. Meanwhile, I love Rosemary's Baby for its subtlety and intriguing study on paranoia; the buildup to the ending is brilliant. I find that Rosemary's Baby haunts me more while The Shining leaves me more awestruck. As of now, I'll go with The Shining but my answer could change in the future."
