"The first X-Men live action film was a revelation for a comic geek like me and even though I took exception with certain elements of the film when I first saw it on the big screen, it made a big screen comic book movie such a personally wonderful thing that has made so many other similar films possible since, Wonder Woman included. It might not be fair that I hold Wonder Woman against a comic franchise that is so beloved by me, but the cast of X-Men got there first for me and I guess that means something. They're probably a lot closer to each other in terms of quality, Wonder Woman perhaps even exceeding it, but I'm standing my ground."
