Zodiac is one of the few films that literally, physically, moved me to the edge of my seat in the theaters. And it's endlessly absorbing/rewatchable. You've got a great top 10 as well friend!

Totally with you. Jesse James, along with the best of Malick, is my pick for the most beautiful film of all time. Not only for its gorgeous photography, but also for its melancholy score and dreamlike/meditative pacing. Both Deakins and Pitt consider it among their best works.Being a Revisionist Western, Jesse James doesn’t try to romanticize the American myth. It explores characters that are complex and flawed, sometimes even unlikable, but we still care about them because they are victims to a tragedy. To lay bare the ugly truth about its characters and still make us sympathetic to their fate – that’s the real power of Jesse James.
