Animated films are just amazing to me. Haha. I don't look for anything in particular, just enjoy them.

Didn't like the rise of weird smart-alecky talking animal movies though. Haha.

Do you watch mostly Disney animations? Or do you also watch animations like Mary and Max, or The Triplets of Belleville? How about Miyazaki movies like Spirited Away or Princess Mononoke? :)

What's your thoughts on Gravity? It's my movie of the year so far. I felt physically tired after seeing it. :D I even forgot to breath a couple times. There is stuff in this movie that I've never seen before.

I was lucky I saw Gravitiy when I did! The stupid radio host thought it was a good idea to spoil what happens to George Clooney. Bloody idiot.

It was fantastic! I agree, I was pretty tired by the end. That shot of Sandra working while that station was demolished behind her was mind blowing. And I loved the ending.
Haha even though I think what happens to George's character was predictable, still a dick move to spoil it on the radio.

He's one of these radio guys that think everything sounds better when he says it louder. He really pisses me off. Plus they do lame parodies of songs. Like that Katy Perry song, Roar. They changed the lyrics to 'because I am a hipster, and I eat things rawwww' :| I live in a little town that only has one radio station. So guess who's listening to music on their iPad a lot? :D

What other movies are you interested in seeing that's coming out this year?

Ummm. Well, it's oscar season! But I definitely want to see Frozen, Book Thief, Hobbit, Hunger Games, Anchorman 2, Saving Mr. Banks. Probably 12 Years a Slave if I can find it.

November and December are the best. How about you?

Well, because i'm Australian, we get the majority of awards movies from January to March. The only two I know we're getting at the same time is The Hobbit and Anchorman 2, which I'm also looking forward to. I'm also looking forward to The Secret Lif of Walter Mitty, and Fruitvale Station.

Did you see that they're going to release two different cuts of Anchorman 2?

Well, they have so much footage, that they are considering releasing two completely different versions of the movie. I'm only happy with this if both movies get packaged together on Blu Ray. But they will probably try ripping us off.

I think I saw the Carrie remake by just watching the trailer! Man, did it give a lot away! What freaked me out about the original was Sissy Spacek's eyes! Burn a hole in your soul with that death glare! :D Chloe Grace Moretz, to me, is miscast.

Haha yeah, the trailer definitely gave it all away, but it's not like it's "spoilers" anyway since it's a pretty by-the-book remake.

I actually didn't mind Chloe in the role, she had some good crazy-eyes when she wanted to. I didn't mind any of the cast, it's just that the movie they were in was super lackluster. :(

Have you seen the How to Train Your Dragon 2 trailer yet? If not, don't! Apparently they spoil a twist in the first minute. The creators didn't want it in there.

I watched Anchorman 2 and Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs 2. I enjoyed both equally.

Thanks! I try my best to be a nice guy.

I already watched the trailer for Dragon 2 haha. I don't mind spoilers generally though. This is the girl who spoiled some of the Lost twists and didn't care.

Anchorman 2 was pretty good! First still trumps it, but that's okay. It was a great sequel, and I was worried it would be a disaster, so it was all good.

Merry Christmas! How have your holidays been?

Oh, ok. :)

Anchorman 2, if a bit shorter, could of been a bit better. Too many movies now want to add to the length of the movie for some reason.

My holiday has been great, thanks. Christmas was great. Had honey glazed ham (my dad does a mean ham:D) and turkey. New Year was a quite boring. :D No music, no people cheering.....plus it was raining very hard. Kind of knocked the celebration out of everyone. The fireworks were fine, but once you've seen them once, there's not much else to it. Someone did shoot off a flare, though. That's not on when our town is under threat of bushfires.

I've also been down at my second home, that's why I hadn't replied until now. No electricity, you see. :) I've got one more week, then back to work. :/

We do get ripped off with movies a lot. So, you imagine how happy I am when we got The Avengers a week before Americans. :D

Booo!!! Hissssss!! Sorry you have to move again. At least you'll be getting efficient at it, eh? :)

Haha! You were evil laughing at the old people! :) Nah, I'm in the same boat. I would have been laughing as well. :) At least you missed potentially hearing them talk the whole movie. I encountered this problem a few months back. Man, old people everywhere for Blue Jasmine. Talking everywhere!! :/ I must have been the only person under 65. :D

When I went to watch Gran Torino in the cinema, I had another problem with old people. I sat down with my friend- we were the only people in there at the time. Then in rolled the old people. Firstly, two sat right behind me, then three old people sat right in front of me. Then, this old couple made me move so they could squeeze by! Now Leeness, I'm 6 foot 6, so I really don't understand why they squeezed past me when they had a WHOLE cinema of seats to choose! I was thinking of moving, but they were quiet. Then, more old people came and sat right next to me! So, here I am, sitting in a cinema with a bunch of old people surrounding me. What a sight it must've been for the rest of the people that followed. :)

Moving suuuuucks.

Why would old people talk?! Aren't they supposed to be more respectful? What is this...

Haha I hate when people feel like the best place to sit is next to you when there are a million open seats. I gave an irrational hatred for people on the bus that do that. Every seat is free...so why do you think it's best to sit next to me???

I've still got a month to watch the Oscar films! I'll get it done!

Old people get confused, so they ask their partner, like they were at home.

I don't ride buses, don't need to where I live. But I assume there's a few possibilities. One, the person likes to strike up conversations, maybe even lonely. Two, they're attempting to make a pass at you, or three, they're creepy. Two and three may both apply in some cases. :) Also, people are that focused on the devices in their hands now, that even a person next to them may not register in their head. Apple will release a product called the iBrain one of these days. :) Says he who is sending this message to you on an iPad! :D

I always sit as far apart from people when I can. Nobody wants a stranger in their space unnecessarily. On planes, I tend to keep to myself as well. There was a grandma behind me trying to talk to me last year. I think it was about her grandchildren. I waited until there was a gap in the conversation, then put my headphones on to watch a movie. I did feel guilty, she seemed nice, but i'm not listening to grandkid stories for four hours. :) Although, the movie was A Good Day to Die Hard.........maybe I should have listened to her. :D

It makes me so angry how many kids were kept away from their families. Dench does a fine job.

I really don't understand how people think Scorcese is glorifying the lifestyle. I mean, it's pretty clear to me that he's a descipable human being. If anybody idolizes him, I think it's their fault, not the movie.

She played Ms McKee. A small role, but a fun part. She was doing Macbeth in a play at the time in Brisbane. She had to fly down to Sydney early in the morning, film her scenes, catch the plane back to Brisbane, then be onstage for Macbeth the next day. Very busy! She's a playwright mainly, but does acting as well.

They're actually in talks to turn The Seed into a movie. Apparantly it's goungto be large scale. It'll be a unique story- I've never seen agent orange in a film before. We'll see what happens. :)

Oh, no, no, no, no, no! No bus! :D I'm in W.A, right. Well, I had to bus from Sydney, NSW, to Adelaide, S.A. That took 22 hours. I was nearly mad by the end of it. Nothing soft to rest on, plus I'm six foot six, so hardly anywhere for leg room. Ok, I will tell you something to show you how desperate we were. Then again, I probably don't want to tell you about the competitive tickling as it's too bloody weird. I'll just that the guy went to jail for six months.

Back to the moving. I had to move hand up the queen sized matresses up to the next floor from outside. Phew! Bloody tough! It was also my sisters birthday, so I decided to hide the money. She had bought a brand new toilet brush (never used), and it was on the kitchen sink. I opened it up, and dropped $800 in there. :D Then as I was leaving, I yelled out for her to check the toilet brush. She gave me a weird look, then went inside. When she came out, she was laughing, and told me that she thought I was being gross. :)

My move has been trying. :( the place I got hadn't been lived in for almost two years and all the water had been off so when I started living there and turned the water back on, all the plumbing valves started failing. I've had two leaks under the kitchen sink and one behind the washer/dryer. One of the sink ones was so bad, it dripped into the apartment below :'( I felt so horrible and cried all weekend. I have bitter feelings now towards the place :'(

Yes, the guy is Canadian. Apparently he's ~fine~ now but I think once you behead someone and eat bits of them, you probably shouldn't be allowed back in public, no matter how "fine" you may be :/

I make a game of it every year. :D one year, I got her to pick a hand. She picked left, and I revealed $500. I then opened my other hand, to reveal another $400. I then proceeded to throw all of it at her face! :D The next year, I got her a card, with $50 in it. I would've just given a card, but that would look too suspicious. When she got up I hid $800 under the cushion she was sitting on. :D One year, I simply walked into the room very quickly, looking ever so serious, then just threw all the money in tha air. Let it rain I said. :)

Oh, you cried? :( Oh, I hope you feel better now. I hope the worst is behind you! You've been through enough with moving, you deserve to have some good luck now. Karma, that's it, some good karma coming your way I hope. :)

The tickling isn't gross in a porn way. It's just very, very weird. The guy that found out the truth about it is now getting money to make a documentary about it.

I like talking to you so much, that I forget I'm supposed to be talking about movies! :D I will ask you a movie question as well. Very basic, but, oh well.

Loool yes, it was trashy but a fun trashy. And the end kind of left me a little speechless. Also, Zac Efron in his undies :)

Noooo your sister. :( I'm sorry that's happening to her. I'm starting to notice the grout in my shower is screwed up so I'm guessing I'll have to take care of that soon :/

ugh, apartments are all awful. Lol. I just want to go and live with my parents again... Haha. I'm too much of a homebody but I don't care :(

Your senctence has me bloody confused! 'I'm too much of a homebody but I don't care' is fine but the :( at the end? :D Are you actually sad about this?

Sorry about your house problems. Hopefully everything else with you is all good, just to level out that annoyance. :)

A few developments. :)

One. My car got reversed into. :/ $1500 damage, but I won't have to pay for it. The stupid woman had two car parks, but reversed in a tiny space that connects the two.

Two. I get to see two plays soon. One from cousin Kate, the other from cousin Tegan. :) Don't get to see much of either of their work, so it's awesome.

How are you? :)

Kate's play was awesome. Went and bought the Jasper Jones novel the next day. The adaptation (biased), acting, and set design was all top notch. My only complaint was that the seats were very uncomfortable in the Heath Ledger Theatre. They were angled in a way that didn't agree with my 6'6 body. :)

How was Lucy? Looking forward to Guardians of the Galaxy? :)

Yep. He grew up in Perth, so it makes sense.

It's came out yesterday, but I'm watching it on the 22nd when I go watch the second play.

Guess what? My sister is moving out! All that moving, pretty much for nothing. She's moving to Coffs Harbour, which is on the other side of Australia. Google image Coffs Harbour, it's a pretty nice place. :)

Heath went to school with my cousin Jay. They did a school play together. I think I still have the VHS somewhere. :)

Yeah, Williams was a childhood favourite of mine. I nearly teared up watching a news montage the other day.

She just loves it there, and wants a change. Also, the owner is in court over something horrific that I won't go into detail (for your sake). And yes, it's very far away. It'll take a three hour flight, and a 4 1/2 hour drive to get to her. I'm going on a road trip in a few weeks with her, then flying back. Taking a few weeks off work.

Did you like Noah?

I'll try not to. :D I did go swimming on my holidays in the beautiful Coffs Harbour water. I'm great at handstands, mate! :D Just picture my bloody long legs sticking straight up out of the water. :)

Got home Tuesday after a long day of travel. Five hours to get to the airport in Brisbane, five hours of waiting and five hours on the plane. Bloody rain was coming down hard, too! Could barely see the white lines on the road! But I'm home now, relaaaxing! :)

There is great potential for a fun and exciting Big Hero 6 trilogy, I agree. I appreciated that it wasn't as obvious as it usually is to figure out who the mysterious villain is in other animated films.

Yep, I really disliked The Hobbit 3. Hopefully you like it more, but I found it extremely dumb. I laughed out loud at one part that I wasn't supposed to. I also have a real problem with CG orcs. I love the practical effects used in the original trilogy. Those twisted, gnarling faces are still in my head now. Give it a few years, and I won't be able to picture any of the generic looking orcs in the Hobbit trilogy. We'll speak more when you see it. :)

I do hope they play with BH6 more! Definitely. And I agree, I didn't see the villain coming haha. Also, I loved the giant fat cat :D Hairy baby.

What a shame. :( it may be a while until I see it (took me almost a year to see the second one...), but they're definitely not as engaging as the original trilogy. Original trilogy is fantastic (some are in my top 20) so...I guess that makes it a little sadder that the Hobbit films aren't up to snuff :(

One downside to underwater handstands is that my nose was like a randomly leaking tap. :D Must've had half a litre in my head. :)

Oh yes! The cat was great and so was "drunk" Baymax. Oh, you didn't seethe villain coming either? Great! Usually in animated films I think after half a second: "THAT guy!". :)

Peter Jackson thinks he's done a better job, too. If it was up to him, the original trilogy would look like The Hobbit films. To me, that's a guy who's lost touch with what was so good about his films. Too busy trying to keep up with James Cameron on the technology side of filmmaking (they live nearby in New Zealand).

Have you heard of Black Mirror? That's supposed to be a great tv show. What shows have you been seeing?

Just bought my cousin's movie The Little Death on Blu-ray. :)

It's been very serious in Western Australia for the last week. Bush fires! Biggest in the states history. Towns evacuated and my town was nearly next! The fire has flames up to 20 metres high, has burnt 90,000 hectares and is 250km in size. Not exaggerating, it's extremely scary. It was started by lightning and because there was so much fuel (leaves, branches) on the ground, it raged out of control. They haven't been able to do controlled burns in the area for quite some time. The firefighters have fought extremely hard and have been able to successfully guide the fire away from the towns so far. They brought in backup from Victoria and the army to set up tents for them to stay because the town was packed. They believe the fire could still be going by May.

There has been some weird people.

One guy said he was fine with his house burning down as long as the trees outside his house were fine. He doesn't still doesn't believe in controlled burns, even though they could save lives. I understand we need to look after the environment, but not to that extent.

Wineries try to sue if they do controlled burns in their area because the smoke may affect the grapes. They don't even have evidence to back this up.

The city people don't want burns because they get smoke which makes them cough. Harden up I say!

And one guy texted the radio to say enough with the fire warnings because it doesn't affect where he lives.

I cried a lot the night before, coming to the decision. But, it was for the best. I didn't want her to suffer.

The fires are still going. It'll be going until June. But it's has calmed down a lot. No people at risk any more. At it's worst, it had burnt 90,000 hectares and had a 330km perimeter of 330km. It cost the government 50 million.

Just about to watch my cousin in her tv show. :)

I'm glad no one is at risk from those fires anymore. Really awful. :( I guess that comes with the hot and desert-ish areas? Over on the west coast, California gets a lot of huge fires every once in a while as well.

How was your cousin's TV show? :)

Yeah, I cam see that. Cats can be independent, while dogs act childish and need you to do things for them.

Yeah, she had a great life. It was only a short time that she suffered, for all her life she had nearly no problems. Very protective of me. :)

I hope you have many more years left with your cat.

Sorry, links don't work on an iPad. Is there a title I can search?

It was hot, but no desert here. Quite the opposite. We have forest as far as the eye can see. There was actually a town meeting last night about doing controlled burns around our town. We need it! It's inevitable that there will be a fire eventually. So, we must be prepared. Don't want a similar huge fire. So, they need to burn all the leaves and branches on the ground, so we have a better chance.

There was another fire! Down in the same area. It was a stupid farmer who got a permit to start a fire on his land. But, he was supposed to have an emergency crew with him! He didn't get them! The fire got out of control, and they had to call in the firefighters again to put it out! So stupid! Farmer was trying to be macho. But just after the worst fire in W.A history....you'd think he wouldn't take such risks.

California doesn't do controlled burns? That would probably be the reason if they're getting huge.

It was good. Turned out my cousin was the psychopath killer! Killed her sister, poisoned someone else. I loved it! Never got to see her act crazy! :D

She unfortunately broker her ankle walking from a party with Aussie comedian Tim Minchin. She stepped in a pothole, then landed on her hip and shoulder. She's writing three plays at the same time at the moment, so at least she didn't have an acting job.

Haha, honestly I have no idea what California does. I just hear sometimes that they have big brush fires.

Haha, that sounds like fun! Did she have a fun time playing a killer? Chew the scenery a bit? :)

Speaking of killers (lol), there's an HBO series that just finished up about a New York millionaire who is (most definitely) a murderer. It's a documentary on his life, they have long interviews with him, etc. And just before the last episode aired, he was arrested again. :O Its kind of fascinating, if you're interested in true crime. It's called the Jinx, the guys name is Robert Durst.

Except I can't copy from Flickchart comments from an iPad. Why I asked if there was a title.

All the fires are out. :)

See there is a new contact lens that will let you zoom when you wink? I can see what people would use it for! :D

We don't do enough controlled burns because of complaints from city people about smoke. Kinda ridiculous. They should put up with it a bit, so we don't die in a fire. Controlled burns get rid of all the dry leaves, so if a fire does start, the higher the chance firefighters can keep in under control.

Yeah, chewed it a bit, but she also played it silent at times as well. Did a very good job.

Thanks. I kept hearing about Jnx, but had no idea what it was about. I'll keep an eye out for it. Thanks.

Kind of creepy is what I think! :D You know quite a few of the guys and girls will be using it to perv on people across the road.

Ever heard of Mike the chicken?

One guy also rang up the ABC radio to ask them to stop playing fire warnings because it doesn't affect him! People are great! Oh, and another doesn't want controlled burns, because he doesn't want fire on the trees. But fire, allows new life. It hasn't taken long for new life to come from fire. It's getting green already. This guy, who was on the news, said he thinks instead of controlled burns, we should figure out how to put out fires better when they start! So....instead of preventing them......we wait until one has started?!! So stupid. I laughed at his opinion when I saw it.

Oh! You will like this! Kate has a new job for the Disney channel! :) She is giving voices to characters. She thought she would only be doing her voice, but they got her to do more. She also didn't realise they would be filming her. She makes $3000 a day doing that! Pretty good!

Yes, I love Game of Thrones. The tension the show builds is unbelievable. Knowing that nobody is safe, makes it so thrilling to watch.

Lol people on the radio are so silly. And selfish, it sounds like. I'm not surprised! Why are people still talking about the fires still though? Have they started again? :( Or just still discussing the last bout of them?

Disney! Which show is Kate acting for? That's awesome :D

Haha, Game of Thrones is getting unpredictable for even book readers now. They've killed some characters that are still alive in the books and some characters are doing different things. Getting more thrilling! The show was always exciting, but until the show caught up with the books (which is has mostly done/they're moving through books 4/5 at rapid speed) you always knew generally what was going to happen. Not anymore! :O

Was in Disneyland last week. I love it :) Been before but it's always so good to go back. Happiest Place On Earth, always haha.

Not a problem at all. :)

Mike the chicken is a chicken that 'lived' 18 months without a head. It would walk around like a normal chicken. The owner had it as a sideshow attraction. He kept it 'alive' by putting a piece of corn down it's neck hole, then using an eyedropper to drop water to clear the airway. How Mike died the second time was that the owner, gave Mike a bit of corn, but he forgot the eyedropper at the last town they visited! Mike choked, then died a second time. :) Doesn't sound possible? It's in the Guiness Book of Records. :D Poor Mike, had it rough.

Nah, that was the discussion that was happening at the time of the fire. They were doing some controlled burns near the city, and they were all complaining about smoke! Short memory. If they don't want to die in a fire, let them do their job! It doesn't even hurt the trees. New life starts from fire.

I honestly don't know what show Kate is voicing. I only hear about the smaller jobs she does afterwards. Like, I had to see on Kate's imdb page that she was in an ep of Miss Marple's Murder Mysteries.

Speaking of Kate, she won an award. Here's the link

She's also getting married in New York in a few weeks. :)

Ah, based on your top ten, Disneyland would be like your personal heaven. :) Glad you have a place you love so much.

Omg been so long since I've been on ;_; I'm sorry for the long silences. I will reply, just takes me a while.

Hahaha that chicken. Wow. Didn't know that.

Ahh, congrats to Kate--for awards and getting married! Sounds like a great month for her! :) Did you get to go to NY for her wedding?

Disneyland so good :) haha. Inside Out was super good, have you been able to see it yet?

I'm sorry for my own absence. It doesn't matter to me if you take some time, no need to apologize.

I have seen Inside Out now. I enjoyed it, but I prefer a majority of the other Pixar films. You may not like what I'm about to say. I wasn't a fan of Lava. Sorry.

It's a lengthy conversation. With many pauses haha. Doesn't mean it's not a good conversation. :)

I guess I'll get it out of the way--I'm thinking I'll be absent most of September. Huge project at work that I'm probably going to be stressing over like a maniac haha. :(

I actually didn't like Lava either! I dunno, the song annoyed me (groaned almost every time "someone to lahv-a!" was sung lol) and the volcanos themselves were weird looking. One of my least favourite shorts from them.

The movie itself though was one of my top Pixar films. :)

Ah, those stories are so adorable! I only watched the lullaby so far, but I'm totally going to watch the others before bed tonight :)

Here's a link for you. Kate reads Disoney stories for kids on Disney Junior.

Well, that is fair enough. You just concentrate on doing your best, as we can talk anytime. Hope you find something to ease your mind over this month. I wouldn't want you too stressed out.

Oh, we agree! I guess they though we would adore tue characters in Lava, but they seem only targeted for children, when other shorts from Pixar can be enjoyed by everybody.

What Pixar would you rank above Inside Out? And also, do you think the people in her head, also had people in their head? I mean, they had emotions too, is there even smaller people in there? :D

Haha this first week has already been overwhelming, RIP me.

Yeah, Lava just didn't work for me. I guess the short kind of lived or died on the song, and I wasn't a fan of the song, and combined with the weird character designs...eeeeeh.

Well, I have Monsters Inc, Incrediblea and Ratatouille above Inside Out on my rankings and I'd say that's about right :D How about you?

Omg, I almost wish that those ending stingers (inside the boys head, the cats, the dogs) had gone inside Joy or Sadness' head too. That would have been amazing hahaha.

Sorry I have't been here. Sme rough months I have had. Happy new year to you. :)

Well, I think only Brave and the Cars movies would be below Inside Out for me. :) I am open to giving it another chance.

How are you?

I'm watching Force Awakens today.
