"I've heard several people claim that the 1994 sequel is better than the 2013 sequel. I'd like to know what they're smoking, and how I can make sure I never ever smoke it myself. TCM: The Next Generation is one of the very worst MOVIES I've ever seen in my life, let alone easily the worst entry in the entire Chainsaw franchise. A truly hideous and worthless film, in which at least half the running time is spent just watching people shrieking and whining at each other around the dinner table. And it had ZERO respect for the rest of the franchise, retconning things left and right, even from the original film. Meanwhile, Texas Chainsaw 3D had infinite respect for Tobe Hooper's 1974 original, going out of its way to appeal to the fans of that masterpiece. It's got much better acting, dialogue, action scenes, gore, cinematography, set design, and pretty much everything else than the jaw-droppingly awful 1994 movie. "
