I don't have high hopes for it but I won't pass final judgment until I at least see a preview. Even if it looks well done though I don't think it will touch the original. Read The Evil Dead Companion or If Chins Could Kill if you haven't already. It will give you a whole new perspective when you watch the original and realize what they did with next to no money and no experience.

Sounds interesting, I will read them if I see them. I think the movies are great. Would you of preferred another sequel with Bruce Campbell in it despite his age?

If Raimi did it most definitely. Even though Bruce is getting up there in age and may not be able to do the physical comedy he is still hilarious.

Looks brutal. But haven't made up my mind if it looks good. I'll probably give it a watch though when it comes out.
BTW sorry for the long waits for replies to your comments. While I check this site everyday and rank movies I hardly ever look at this section.

The reviews are looking good for The Evil Dead. I hope Raimi does Army of Darkness 2 and isn't just going to stop.

Some of my friends and I are planning on seeing it when it gets here. Still haven't made up my mind about it but if it helps revive interest in the franchise and gets us an Army of Darkness 2 I'm all for it.

Oh, new number one! You must of really enjoyed Lawless. I did also.
I absolutely loved Lawless. Nick Cave is one of my favorite singer/songwriters and I thought he did a great job with the screenplay. I was really disappointed with The Proposition but he redeemed himself with Lawless. The Proposition was highly rated by the critics but it just didn't gel with me.

Have you seen Ghost...... of the Civil Dead? It was Nick Cave and John Hillcoat's first collaboration. I've only seen half of the movie, didn't seem like my thing. But I thought I'd write it down just in case you didn't know about it, and wanted to check it out.

Evil Dead is going to straight to DVD in my country, except for three cinemas. I'm very annoyed.

I still haven't gone to see it myself. My plans to go on opening weekend with my buddies fell through. I've heard good things from my friends that have seen it though. Also watch all the way through the credits.

I occasionally add Laurel and Hardy films to the site and you often seem to join me in ranking them. Are you a fan? I've liked them since childhood and I've seem all of their work prior to them leaving Hal Roach.

I watched a lot of their shorts growing up. I really enjoyed them, more so than the rankings on my chart would indicate. I use the shorts on here as a buffer between the movies I really like and the ones I consider to be mediocre or bad. If I were to honestly rank the shorts with my other movies Laurel and Hardy would be much higher on my list. It's a bit of a convoluted system I use but it works for me.

Well I wish my flickchart was as organised as that. I still find films all over the place, ones I like or dislike at completely the wrong end.
