You have a very interesting list! Quite a few movies that I really enjoy as well! I'm impressed that you enjoy Whiplash as much as you do! It was arguably my favorite of 2014!

Thanks. It was definitely my favorite of that year too. I'm sure i need to go through my list again and update it. Especially, since some of my top ten, I've only seen once. You never know how much your opinion can change after a rewatch of your favorite movie.

Hello friend, I'm also a redlettermedia fan...
I hope you don't mind me asking.
Who are your favourite directors?

That's great. I've been following them for years. As for directors, I do love:
David Fincher, Denis villeneuve, Tarantino, Mike Flanagan, Terrence Malick, Hitchcock, Ingmar Bergman, Paul Thomas Anderson, Billy Wilder, Akira Kurosawa, Kubrick, Terry Gilliam, Alex Garland, Ari Aster, Robert Eggers, Park Chan-Wook, Nolan and so on.

There's just so many and I know I'm forgetting some. I used to have a definite list but I never wrote it down. Ha. How about you?

Sorry for the late reply... Thanks for replying, those are many directors. I know most of them although there are some whose films I have yet to see. I've never even heard of Mike Flanagan, which film of his should I watch first? I've heard lots of praise from Billy Wilder...Some say I should start with Sunset Boulevard, would you agree?
I've been trying to watch Oldboy for a while, but its taking me quite a while, I am not sure if it will live up to my expectations, is it really as great as people are suggesting?

As for my favourites, I also really like Ingmar Bergman, I have three of his films in my top 20. My other favourite directors of all time are ;Michael Haneke, Bela Tarr, Aleksey German, Andrzej Zulawski , Werner Herzog and Andrei Tarkovsky.

What do you think of their films?
