This is one of the few times an american remake is superior to the foreign original. One of my personal favorites and probably the role responsible for changing public perception that DiCaprio "was a Streisand". A must watch movie.

Between this, and his portrayal of Jordan Belfort, I can't choose which performance is his all-time best!

It's a 10/10 movie, and a masterpiece, but I don't think it's DiCaprio's best performance or anywhere near his best performances. But still, it's an endlessly rewatchable modern classic

The Departed is a masterpiece plain and simple. It consists of some of the best editing in the 21st century (in terms of movie-making), crisp cinematography, a richly layered and twisty narrative that takes the template of Infernal Affairs and builds on it to make it unique, has some of the most shocking twists ever, great characters, and some of the best acting and casts of all time. It rightfully won best picture along with every other oscar that it won. And that Dropkick Murphy's song...

One of my favorite movies of all time. Scorsese has proven that he can capture the essence of modern crime movies. The cast is probably one of the best casts of all time with actors such as DiCaprio, Damon, Nicholson, Wahlberg, and Sheen.
