Shame on First Man for not including the American Flag. Terrible decision by the film makers.

Why does it even matter? The movie is about Neil Armstrong, not the American flag.

Flags don't talk and would make for very boring film stars.

2018 movie #25: First Man. An interesting watch but key moments felt rushed and the tone was a little monotone with no sense of triumph or importance. 6/10.

The flag is shown on the Moon. The moment it is planted is not shown. The flag is also shown on the space suits, on the Saturn V rocket, raised in front of Armstrong's house, and possibly elsewhere.

Technically well-crafted and beautifully shot but there is a human element missing that prevents the movie from ever really engaging its audience.
