"Asano's awesome. If there's any justice in this world, more people will start watching his movies. Normally, I'd go with the Miike movie, but Last Life is a beautiful, beautiful movie. It's not for everyone (for the first 30 minutes or so, I thought I might end up hating the movie), but if you're patient, you may find yourself rewarded...."
