What starts out as a dry story about what appears to be a rather unlikable braggart turns out to be something more by the end of the film. I love money and I like poker but piecing it all together with repetitive narration frankly would have lost me as a viewer had it not been for Jessica Chastain. She eats up the screen and, not to go all “Wolf of Wall Street,” but jargon and supposition goes down so much better looking at an amazing woman with spectacular cleavage. The final act and character arc really saves the movie.

When you team Aaron Sorkin up with Jessica Chastain and Idris Elba, you just know it's gonna be a good movie. Aaron Sorkin's writing doesn't disappoint and neither do the performances.

I was prepared to dislike it, the prospect of Sorkin without a filter made me uneasy but it's mostly great. I didn't love the ending but Chastain and Elba are phenomenal.
