Yeah,i know: italian neorealism doesn't exist to make you feel good. But god dammit. This movie is SO agonizing to watch, even after some viewings. It really gets me down.

One of the finest films in the history of cinema. Sad,tragic, and extremely realistic. Truly one of the most human, and honest films ever made.
