The most un-Kubrick like Kubrick film there is. It's good although everything Kubrick made after this was better (except Lolita).

This movie is sorta a one trick pony for me. There's a reason everyone only knows and remembers the "I'm Spartacus" sequence. Because the rest is pretty forgettable and the pacing can be dragged down by a LOT of unnecessary exposition. Although, Kirk Douglas and the production itself is great, though. It's about a 6/10 for me.
