This is the best movie of all time and should be at no. 1 on the chart. It is something everyone has to watch before they die, or else they've simply missed out.

I feel ashamed for hating this movie so much before. It brilliantly unfolds like a great novel and has incredibly detailed characters and unforgettable scenes. A true movie gem.

Perhaps is the greatest movie ever made with two of the greatest actors ever: The late Marlon Brando and Al Pacino who steal the show and a great performance by Robert Duvall and overall, some of the greatest characters, amazing story and iconic soundtrack!

That line was hilarious. I've heard that was actually not scripted, but the actor was so nervous with working with Brando that they fumbled over their lines, but Coppola kept it in the film

Arguable tbh. I think Part 2 delves into the themes of part 1 more, and the performances are overall better with Pacino giving possibly the best in history, but I feel that Part 1 has certain things to give it a level playing field. It's the more engaging and entertaining film while still being rich with philosophy, relevant social commentary, and powerful themes. I also think it's more engaging because of the wonderful execution of Michael's character arc. The two are near equal in my eyes

Yeah it's a cliche and obvious choice for my #1, but I can't help it. It's just a perfect film which is especially surprising since I normally hate films that are overly-long, joyless, and slow-paced.

I finally understand the love for this movie. And I LOVED the first 90 minutes as well as the last 20 minutes. There's complex characters, deep and engaging dialogue and powerful themes about corruption and power. In between that time it was very draggy, the structure was messy and it lost its flare. The acting and the filmmaking stayed consistently great, though!

I disagree with it being messy. Everything in the film has something to do with the story or for Michael's arc. As for it dragging, I don't agree either. I think everything was very consistent

A classic American story of power, greed, loyalty, and family. Flawless film making, with a classic score. Brando's Don Vito Corleone is iconic. The rest of the cast, from Pacino to Duvall are great. One of the most imitated and quotable films ever made. A true all time great Masterpiece.

A true masterpiece that has a great story about family and the negative consequences of crime. It also has some of the best characters ever in a movie. Francis Ford Coppola did a great job directing and the performances from Marlon Brando, Al Pacino, Robert Duvall, Diane Keaton, etc. were all great. It has a great and recognizable music score from Nino Rota as well. I do like Part II better but Part I is still one of the best films ever made.
