Marvel will deliver three of the top ten films of the year YET again in 2018. Thank God for Marvel Studios. Literally. Long Live The King Indeed!

I mean, it's an incredible film. So much more compelling than even I expected. True epic filmmaking.

Black Panther puts racial commentary and cultural race baiting ahead of entertainment. It's not a bad movie but it certainly is action light and message first.

Judging it on two different fronts it is extremely lacking to be honest. The action flat out sucks. Then, there's the social commentary and that promotes division and perpetuates the myth that all non-African descendants are evil oppressors. I expect better from my MCU.

I rank the movie in the middle of all the Marvel releases. It has surprisingly good, humorous dialogue , especially from T'Challa's sister, Shuri. Some very cool action moments, marred a little by the fakey look of CGI humans moving too fast. Some of the plot points are very predictable, but that's to be expected from this type of hero movie. T'Challa's bodyguard, Okoye steals the show here. Probably the strongest female character in a comic book movie since Wonder Woman.

The visuals in the movie are stunning: the landscape and the technology of Wakanda. The characters are also interesting, and I found the female characters to hold important roles. Killmonger is a fantastic antagonist and provides a social commentary that resonates in today's world. I will critique that the plot feels like it's trying to do too much in one single movie.

2018 movie #4: Black Panther. It does have a lot of flaws but luckily, the deep social commentary and the fully realised characters made up for it. 6/10.

One of the most overrated movies I've ever seen. Rushed and underdeveloped. Marvel enjoy making overblown trailers in their lead up to the Avengers films.

Killmonger is possibly the best Marvel villain after Loki. Beyond that, though, there are indeed flaws. Black Panther is an important movie, but it's not necessarily a great one. That said, it is good, and about middle-tier in the MCU for me as well.

There were a couple weeks of hype before I saw it but it lived up to and surpassed expectations. Terrific casting, and one of the greatest villains Marvel has yet put on screen

Killmonger is the best Marvel villain to date, imo. Great film.

This is one of the MCU films that keeps growing on me after each viewing. At first in theaters, I thought it was good but didnt live up to the hype. After the 3rd viewing, it gets better. Killmonger is a great villain. I know that one of the first criticism was the BP doesnt quip... ever. But, im liking that he doesn't. His sister and everyone else balances him. It greatly fits his personality revealed in Civil War, like the line he gives when Hawkeye tells him, "We haven't met yet. My name is Clint." "I don't care." BP fires back.

Not a big Marvel fan, but as far as Marvel movies go, one of the better ones.

One of the few MCU films that I think is underrated on this site.

The filmmaking is slick but it's overstuffed with an excess of characters and some undeniable hiccups in regards to the third act and the pacing.
