"Both of these are in my top 50. The Maltese Falcon is a classic, and that ending is incredible, but for sheer entertainment The Big Sleep is the bomb. How can anyone call it a snooze? Snappy dialogue, lots of plot twists, some action ... it's a great movie. And yes, there are memorable characters. The leads? And poor little Harry Jones..."
