Did anyone else just assume this movie was going to be about Harvey Birdman when it was first announced? Still a good movie though.

Great film with a great cast. Definitely one of the best of last year. Edward Norton steals the show.

Just think Birdman tried too hard to be impressive, which don't get me wrong, at times visually it was, but the story really wasn't all that (thinking about it, it was actually very basic). The great acting and cinematography held it.

Definitely some virtuoso filmmaking going on here, and the performances are fantastic, but the movie never engaged me on an emotional level. Left me feeling a bit empty.Still, I see what the fuss is about.

This is a near-perfect character study which shows a once-famous man who's loss of fame has made him vulnerable and insignificant in the modern world. A very dramatic movie that is hilarious at the same time, great. If you wanna talk about the most overrated then I think there's only one culprit: Interstellar.

TRUE! Take that back: 2nd most overrated of the year.

Man michael keaton flying across new york sky is perhaps the most dumbest scene i have ever witnessed in a movie

so many people call it overrated that I'm seriously tempted to suggest that it's actually underrated, even when taking into account the whole Oscars thing(plus a lot of its detractors seem to completely miss the point of the movie)

What would you say the point of the movie is, that so many seem to miss?

Quite a swipe at action-addicted Hollywood (and movie goers in general, really). Sad that theater and "talkies" aren't the stick that stirs the drink anymore, but Birdman isn't going to fix that, the same way directors ranting in press junkets won't. Preachy, but entertaining, and the single-take cinematography is mesmerizing if not exhausting.

Maybe a few scenes should’ve been left on the cutting room floor but otherwise a film which contains beautiful imagery, fantastic performances and dives into the mind state of a crazy washup actor and I also appreciated how it made fun of the commercial state of movies today!
