Spoilers. The most underwhelming movie experience of my life! All action, no heart. Story jumped all over the place without any flow. I could predict the story after 5 minutes (like most MCU films). Tom Holland doesn't work as a main character, Tony Stark is only their to complain. Flash Thompson and Aunt May are both awfully portrayed. Peter's friend is annoying as hell. The teen drama stuff is just generic characters tackling generic issues and I didn't find it interesting. Peter likes a girl because, um well, she's hot I guess? Remember the first one? "This, like any story worth telling, is about a girl". Well forget about that in Homecoming. Michael Keaton has nothing to do and he becomes the Vulture because he was kicked out of his construction site? The cast could have been replaced by anyone and it wouldn't have made a difference (unlike the Rami films when they thought deeply about who was gonna play who, even if it was a very minor role like J. Jonah or Mr Ditkovich). The second scene is Peter's documentary of Civil War and it's a very bizarre way to get the film starting. The action is the main focus and there's no emotional depth. The first two Rami films have so much heart, they were dramas about Peter's life. Now it's just action and the action wasn't overly impressive anyway. There's nothing offensively terrible, it's just very soulless. My order of the Spider-Man films:1. Spider-Man 22. Spider-Man3. Spider-Man 34. Spider-Man Homecoming5. The Amazing Spider-Man6. The Amazing Spider-Man 2

Sorry, I rewatched this travesty a couple months after it’s release and it is pretty awful. NO RAIMI, NO MAGUIRE MEANS NO SPIDER-MAN!

Qualifies as good but not great in my book. Love the set up and Holland as kid Spidey but really disliked his classmates including fake "MJ" and all the social justice nonsense.

My thoughts, as well. The supporting characters were annoying and the movie was so bogged in political correctness (protesting is the most patriotic thing you can do, the Washington monument was built by slaves, not referring to native Americans as Indians, etc.)

A fun entry to the MCU.

My favorite Spider-Man flick since Spider-Man 2. Among the best films in the MCU. Loved Holland as Spider-Man, as well as the supporting cast, including his classmates. Villain was also surprisingly interesting.
