Brilliant film that, like Crash, captures the reality that sometimes a persons bark is much worse than their bite. This Eastwood's character reminds me of my grandfather. At times I despised the words he used but realized he was a good person once he gave someone a chance.

An amazingly under appreciated film, Gran Torino is a work of art. It has so much to say about prejudice, family, honor, and what makes an American. It's charismatic, funny, dramatic, full of heart, and refreshingly devoid of the political correctness so prominent in most Hollywood films (and my belief why it was snubbed for an Oscar). Everyone should see this film, especially movie lovers.

Eastwood nails it with this one. His character along with the boy and girl are great. Every bit of dialogue that Eastwood has whether it is with the barber or his son or the punks or his dog is classic. Showing the boy what it takes to be a man. Many would be so lucky to have such a role model. A true work of art!

It's the grown-up version of Up. And just as great.
