Pretty big disappointment after how much I liked 3 Women, Short Cuts, and The Player. It has its moments, but I really struggled to get into this one.

Irredeemable garbage. Altman uses the city of Nashville (and the south in general) to make a caricature of the south for the enjoyment of naval-gazing liberals. Feels less like a satire than an exploitation film.

160 wasted, meaningless minutes.

After I got over the fact that this wasn’t going to have a very coherent story, I actually started to enjoy it.
