Now this film has a certain moronic charm. It is cheese. But not all cheese is bad, kind of like and aged gouda. I laughed a lot during this movie. I laughed at how ridiculous a majority of it was. A blind swords man that can hear everything, now that's comedy gold. It was also nice to see John Locke in something when he had hair. Rutger Hauer gives a witty performance, always aware that he is in on the joke. I loved him in Blade Runner and in The Hitcher. It's a shame that he doesn't get much work these days. When a dead brained action movie takes itself too seriously, you know the film is in trouble. But this movie is very very self aware. 6/10
