Just saw this for the first time this year... about a month ago. Absolutely love it. For some reason, I was thinking this was the remake. I went on to watch The Fly 2, which is a sequel to the remake, not necessarily to the original. I was a bit confused, but now I understand. I just need to see the remake as some seem to think it's better than the original. If so, I'm in for a treat because I loved the original.

I didn't like it quite a much as the remake, but this version is still good. The cast is great.

It's very good but doesn't measure up to Cronenberg's remake for me.

Well, I did get around to seeing the remake back in February of this year. I thought the original was far better. Of course the remake has better visuals, but the story and storytelling of the original has way more heart to it. I really didn't connect with the characters in the remake. I was morr or less indifferent to their fates. Whereas, with the original, I was fully engaged with the outcome from the opening scene. I just love the way the original sets things up and presents the story with mystery and suspense. That's right up my alley.
