I've tried watching this 2 times before I finally got through it just now. Incredible film and a testament to Hoffman and Cruise as actors. I have an uncle who has Down Syndrome, so the first part of this film gave me a weird anxiety knowing how Charlie was going to treat his disabled brother. Hard for me to watch people treat others like that, but the 2 moments where they connect are so worth the watch. Very poignant movie that is important in showing people how they should act toward socially/mentally challenged people. Be understanding to other walks of life and be grateful for yours.
