It has its good share of fight movie cliches ... and you won't give-a-dam about them once you get swept away by its story, honest energy, and outstanding performances -- particularly from Tom Hardy. I think this is one fight film that will stick with me for a long time.

It's like Rocky one without all those boring moments, if it hadn't been advertised as an MMA movie perhaps it could have been this ages Rocky. Fact is critics generally like movies that are extremely complicated, not ones that you can relate to and actually understand.

Not ashamed to say that this is the first movie to make me cry. Damn good stuff. Step aside Rocky.

I love being surprised when a movie exceeds my expectations.

This just might be the best fight movie i have ever seen. it is a wonderful story, and Tom Hardy was just fantastic in it as well as Nick Nolte. You really get to love the characters just as much as the movie itself. Just GREAT.
Such a bittersweet movie. It was good, but that ending is so sweet yet sour at the same time.
