Garden State is certainly not the best film ever made, but it's without doubt my favorite movie. There are movies out there which give us an accurate picture of love, the ups & downs and the constant rollercoaster which we call love...movies like Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind which I adore. But no movie shows why we keep coming back to love time after time the same way Garden State does. At the end of the day it's the highs we remember and what Zach Braff accomplished is truly remarkable

"Garden State" is as good as its intriguing trailer. It is a gem of a film with great acting and a heartfelt story that speaks to todays generational angst. Zach Braff has crafted a modern masterpiece . Every frame of this film has meaning and depth. "Garden State" is a breath of fresh air in modern film making. You will laugh-you will cry- you will be amazed.

This film is just annoying. It tries too hard to feel 'indie', leaving it a cold and emotionless corpse of a film.

I loved this film. Might not have the craft of some of the better "indie" films, but it was dang near the first and it introduced the concept of the manic-pixie-dream-girl, something which I fantasized quite a bit when I first saw this. But more important than all of that was how it spoke to me when I saw it. That lost, searching feeling of the main character was something I could seriously relate to. Basically my ranking this at the #1 spot is pretty much based off of how it impacted me. Love, love love.
