Just watched it from start to finish for the first time today. I realize it hasn't aged very well, but that doesn't bother me at all. I loved it!

I really loved this movie. The castle setting in the beginning sets the mood for the film, and the abbey seems to tie it together in the end.The acting was excellent with Frye and Lugosi (of course) as the leads. The tension between Dracula and Van Helsing was fun to watch. Maybe they used a lot of zoomed in shots on Lugosi's face, but I didn't mind one bit. Each one left me feeling creeped out.Philip Glass's orchestral score amplifies the suspense. It wasn't added to the movie until 1999, so it would be interesting to see the movie without the music.
