Hilariously pokes fun at comic book movies and at itself. It will end up being the best comedy of the year.

This is one the best comedy movies I have seen in a long time, this was the Deadpool movie we deserved, not that X-men Origins bullshit, Ryan Reynolds was perfect as deadpool, the villains in the movie were so well done and they weren't your typical villains that just had to be stopped. It's nice to see Gina Carano kicking ass, and Ed Skrein was great he redeemed himself from Transporter Refueled.

Ferociously entertaining and laugh-out-loud funny comic-book satire, with surprising amounts of heart. Couple that with a perfectly cast title character as well as thrilling action scenes, and you've got yourself one hell of a superhero mov...err, I mean, love story.

Too clever by half, and not nearly as transgressive as it would like you to think it is. Thirty minutes of great material bogged down by a solid hour of conventional superhero garbage all chopped up and rearranged Tarantino-style.

Liked it a lot. Not great, perhaps, but certainly a film that does the character right, and Reynolds is a lot of fun in the lead role. Now give us that R-rated Wolverine, please. 7/10

I wasn't sold by the trailers, but it is actually pretty fun. Some of the jokes miss the mark, but a lot of them work really well.

I like the style to this movie, Ryan Reynolds was born to play Wade, the action is fantastic and I can appreciate the small scaled approach. Unfortunately, Deadpool incorporates the most basic form of storytelling and (although, some moments were very funny) basic form of humour as well. I also found myself disappointed this viewing in how it was all balls out (no pun intended) and crazy for the first 10 minutes and then it kinda mellows down instead of continuing that momentum. I loved this movie in 2016; it was great on the big screen and it was the kind of superhero movie (if I can call it that) Hollywood was in dire need for. But 2 years later, I can see the film for how it is and it doesn’t exactly hold up. Not so much in action or effects (they’re still brilliant), but as a funny and compelling movie. Still good, nevertheless. About a 6/10 it currently stands at for me.

It's occasionally a little too rude and crude, bloody and bowed for it's own good but at least it tries to do something a little different in the well-worn context of the superhero genre.
