Ooh, ouch. Comic book duds, in opposite ways. ASM2 is too overstuffed and scatterbrained, SR is too drawn-out, reverential and navel-gazing. Kevin Spacey's Lex Luthor ftw.
Man oh man, Superman Returns...just when you sat through the opening credits and thought things were going to be fun and exciting, you end up watching one of the most GLOOMY superhero movies ever made. It wants to be a fun throwback to the days of Christopher Reeve, yet it looks and feels so depressing and blah. It's better than ASM2 because that was a clusterfuck disaster, but both are pretty miserable to sit through.

Don't like either. I haven't seen a film from either franchise I really liked. I'll take Superman here.

Lex Luthor was even much worse than electroc because at least he didn't have the obsession to create an island that served to destroy the world
