So you're knocking The Curse of the Black Pearl, which was brilliant, because of one of its sequels? Cannot see the logic there. Johnny Depp alone puts The Curse of the Black Pearl above Back to the Future.

I love Pirates otC , Johnny is grat in this movie, but Bach to the Future is my alltime fav, a movie I can watch anywhere, anytime anyplace

@Charyou_Tree: Without Depp (and, to a lesser degree, Geoffrey Rush), Pirates is nonsense. I do enjoy the movie, but despite containing one of the all-time greatest movie performances, it cannot compete with Back to the Future. Besides, as much as I love Captain Jack Sparrow, Doctor Emmett Brown is right there with him. Great Scott!

They are both great fun, but Depp and Rush put Pirates over the top for me. If it had been one of the sequels, that would be a different story, though.

Of the Pirates movies, the first is the best in my opinion. But BTTF is a classic.

I love the first pirates of the caribbean movie, but back to the future wins this without much of a battle.

Close call, but I think I'll go with BTTF.
