Such a tough choice. Casablanca has a great setting and some truly memorable lines while North has the more memorable images and a brilliant turn from Cary Grant. Script wins out over action though both are clearly very, very good movies.
Two of my favorites. ALfred Hitchcock's masterful direction clinches the win here.

I'm surprised about how quickly I made my decision. Both great classics! But really, North by Northwest for me. :)

I found North by Northwest a little disappointing which is strange seeing how much I loved Psycho, Notorious and Rear Window. Casablanca is a movie that has blown me away

Both are some of the finest films that I've seen. Casablanca gets the nod - I think the performances were better than in NxNW, and it just worked better.
