Battle of the Cities, Dark vs. Sin... I choose sin.

DARK CITY is amazing, but SIN CITY tops it in both style and substance.

Hm, let's get real. Sin City is quite impressive in it's ridiculousness, but Dark City is one though movie to beat. Perfect visuals, great story, superb female lead character, tense noir atmosphere, metaphoric ending etc. Just sci-fi at it's very best.
Sin wins...for the sheer enjoyment factor...

For Dark City, I haven't decided if the originality, daring concept, and visuals out weigh the entire bat shit insanity of the entire thing. What I do know is that Sin City is entertaining as balls.

I wasn't a big fan of Sin City. I loved Dark City though.

Both films could pass for masterful comic-book adaptations, for Dark City's gritty noir atmosphere captivates me in identical fashion to Sin City's. The moody, dimly lit streets of both cities make me go, "damn, this seems like the perfect spot to wander around with a cigarette in hand and just brood... maybe get hold of my demons". And, of course, as their stories unfold, you FEEL like the characters belong there, like they'd look odd or out of place in a different setting. I'll take Dark City but, to be honest, I'd rather take both.
