I was surprised, shocked, and enthralled one my first viewings of both of these films especially because of the incredible and flawless acting. I do think that Hepburn did better than Nicholson but is at a close call with Fletcher (whom is still my the character I hate the most of any film I've seen). That being said, the last 8 minutes of Wait Until Dark is among the most intense I have seen. I read numerous reviews that said in the original showings at the theaters that the actual lights would turn down one by one until it was near pitch blackness. I followed that same rule while viewing it and it quite changed my view of the film. Wait Until Dark wins by a slight margin only because of the intense climax and the sheer amount of suspense that it presented to me. Oh and do what I did, watch it in the dark, it's an experience.

Wait Until Dark is a very intense, well made, and extremely enjoyable film. That being said, One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest is a personal favorite of mine.
