Prestige is the better movie, imo.

Nolan! Definitely Nolan! I like Fincher, I really do, and Fight Club is obviously one of his best movies...but Nolan owns. Put The Prestige up against Se7en, and I'll hesitate. But not here. And I love Fight Club.

!@#!@$!@#$!%!%!!!!!!!!!!!! I can't choose!!!

Oh man this is difficult. I love the twists in both of these films, and the directors are among my favorites. I have to go with the Prestige though, it blew me away the first time. (I was already aware of the twist in Fight Club).

The Prestige is story-telling at its best.

In my opinion The Prestige is one of the best and most underrated Nolan movies. And in general, Nolan beats Flincher. But not against Fight Club. The only movie I liked more than Fight Club is Memento.

Rewatchability kills The Prestige and it has also brought Fight Club down a bit, but I'll take Fincher.

Fight Club. My 2nd favorite film ever made.

Fight Club just had more depth and better characters plus the bizarre nature of the film is very cool wins easy.

The Prestige wins easily. Nolan beats Fincher by a mile on this one.

I love Fight Club. Love it. But it has its detractors, which is fine. If someone doesn't like it, that's one thing. But I've noticed a lot of them dislike the movie because a large portion of its fans actually drink Tyler Durden's kool-aid. I find myself nodding in agreement with some of what he says, and even when I'm not, I enjoy hearing him say it. The kool-aid drinkers are idiots. He's not a prophet and he's not meant to be interpreted as one. He's the Antichrist. But the detractors are idiots too. The anti-kool-aid-drinkers, I mean. It's a common thing - turning on a movie or a band because there's a vocal part of the fanbase that is, ya know, stupid. Odd phenomenon, that. But I get it, I enjoy it. I wouldn't sign my name above the dotted line on a Project Mayhem signup sheet, but I digs the movie.

The Prestige for me.

The prestige...

Both are well-acted and directed, but Fight Club is kind of impeccable.

Fight Club absolutely owns here. Brad Pitt and Edward Norton's chemistry ALONE gives Prestige a run for its money.

Lots of love for these two. I love them both as well. Yeah I guess I'm taking Prestige but Fight Club is amazing as well.

Wow, what a fanboy I was ten (10!!!) years ago. I still haven't carved out the time to see The Prestige a third time yet. But as great as it is, it isn't as indelible as Fight Club. I think this deserves to be close, but Fincher also deserves the win. (For the record, Fincher's best is Se7en, which barely loses to Nolan's best, The Dark Knight, with me.)

Hm. Maybe it's even the fact that subsequent Nolan films have left me cold. I haven't even been in as much of a hurry to see Tenet as I certainly would have been a decade ago.

This is probably one of the hardest choices I have had to make on the site, but Prestige has to win here.

Fight Club but Prestige is amazing too

Fight Club takes it. Better direction and editing, better chemistry between the main leads, and the different layers of the film trump The Prestige handily
