Two classic Japanese films that are often regarded as two of the saddest films. I've come around to really appreciating "Grave of the Fireflies" over a few viewings but in terms of Studio Ghibli films, I prefer Miyazaki. That's irrelevant here, "Ikiru" is one of my favourite films and it wins for me here.
