Brazilian most successful movie franchise ever on the spot here. First one is more graphic,gory and violent,but the sequel brings a plot that generated a wide-open discussion about how corrupt brazilian society can be. I REALLY recommend both movies.

Agree. Both are underrated. However no. 2 is better, actually the best action movie in the last 10 years IMO.

I'll totally agree Cudiu! I can't imagine a action movie that impacted society more than Elite Squad 2 on the last 10 years. Not for the right reasons. And even with tons of action sequences,ES2 is all about the plot,not just random bullets everywhere. Pretty tight stuff.

The second film is a far superior piece of cinema. While I enjoyed the first movie, it just does not match up with the second.
