Forrest Gump vs. Life of Brian

Kind of a tough one. Gump is polished but sweet, and Brian is rough around the edges but in a way that suits its edgy humor. A winking stroll through the highlights of post-WW2 American history or an irreverent romp through the Roman-occupied Holy Land? Brian is not my favorite Python movie whereas Gump is one of my favorite movies of the 90s, so I'll give it the vote this time around, I guess.
