Dear George & Steven. You should be ashamed that I'm casting this decision, in favor of a completely derivative, unoriginal, smarmy cocksure bad-boy carrying a ton of special effects. However, you put a spaceship in an Indiana Jones movie, for which only your souls can pay throughout eternity. Damn you.

You know what, Proteus? It's not the spaceship that ruined Crystal Skull for me. It's not the aliens. I resisted the idea, but was not automatically opposed to aliens being in an Indiana Jones movie. The problem is, Crystal Skull DID NOT FEEL like an Indiana Jones movie. Intellectually, I understand what they were trying to do: If the original trilogy was an homage to 1930s adventure serials, then 20 years later, Crystal Skull must by a 1950s sci-fi B-movie. The problem? It's still INDIANA f-ing JONES, for cryin' out loud! And the two genres didn't mesh well. Anyway, enough of that rant; Iron Man was fun as hell.

This decision is way easier than it should be. Iron Man by quite a bit.

I don't hate this Indy as much as i should. There are two kinds of Indy fans (Last Crusade is my number one here so that should tell you something): those that love the series so hate Crystal Skull especially fervently because it's a lame entry in a great series. But i'm of the type who was just so happy to see Indy again, I forgive its many, many flaws. Iron Man is a great movie but i still go with Indy. Yeah, i'm a whore.

I don't have the same attachment as some to Indiana Jones, but it doesn't matter, that film was just terrible anyway. Iron Man takes the win, even though I'm not nearly as wild about it as everybody else.

Any other Indy film and Iron Man would have lost...

I found Kyrstal Skull entertaining, but Iron Man is a much better work.
