The 39 Steps vs. North by Northwest

Interesting because North By Northwest is basically a remake of the 39 Steps.

Yes, there are some big similarities between these two films. Although bigger isn't necessarily better in cinema, the grander scope of North by Northwest really works in its favor in this matchup; it just makes the movie "feel" more interesting. For that reason, North by Northwest wins here.
