I actually enjoyed The Notebook a lot more than I thought I would, but Eternal Sunshine is still a much better love story by far and remains to be one of my favorite films.

I am really struggling with this one loved both these films but for originality have to give it eternal sunshine.

this should not be a hard choice especially if your a dude or actually anyone for that matter. eternal sunshine is one of the best movies of the decade.

I enjoyed both (Yes, I enjoyed The Notebook -- maybe because I watched it woth my girlfriend), but Eternal Sunshine was way better, and definitely rewatchable.

Notebook is great. Eternal Sunshine wins.

Eternal Sunshine is one of my Dr. Fell's - I don't care for it, even though I "should". For whatever reason, I simply do not find it compelling. The Notebook shamelessly hits every stupid romance movie cliché out there, and invents a few of its own, but the framing device ends up giving it real power and poignancy.
