These two movies . . . well, they really disappointed me. Johnny English came out in 2003, after all three Austin Powers films, and by that point the entire spy spoof genre had been done, and then done to death, all in one series! Poor Rowan Atkinson never stood a chance, especially with such a mediocre film. I definitely expected more from Sir Edmund Blackadder. As decisively mediocre as Johnny English was, it seems like Goldfinger compared to The Nude Bomb. After such a funny TV series like Get Smart, seeing Agent 86 such an aggressively unfunny movie nearly brought a tear to my eye. The only reason I watched it all the way through was to say I did it. How does a movie screw up Maxwell Smart chasing after a bomb that, when detonated, erases all clothing on Earth? This movie should win an award for accomplishing that. Johnny English wins, because it made me throw less things at my TV when I was watching it.
