I'm surprised that a matchup between two best picture winners doesn't have any commentary on it. That said, I guess there's not much to say. As much as I enjoyed The King's Speech, There Will Be Blood takes this one without much effort.

There Will Be Blood was just not there for me. Even after a second viewing. I did love The King's Speech after the first time though.

There Will Be Blood didn't win Best Picture.

King's Speech. It's a feel good film.

Colin Firth's Oscar was well-deserved , but he didn't come close to Daniel Day-Lewis in TWBB. But that's just the performances. As for the movies overall, I have no idea what to choose.

The Kings Speech was an actors showcase. nothing more. There Will Be Blood is a masterpiece

Both really good actorpieces. Indeed There Will Be Blood is nothing short of a masterpiece, and therefore gets my vote. But Daniel Day-Lewis and Firth may be my two recent favorite actors because of these movies. (and A Single Man)

Both films are carried by their lead actors (and carried quite well). Due to that, There Will Be Blood wins. Daniel Day-Lewis was just legendary in it.
