No comment on this Matchup of the Day from last month? First off, I have to say how lovely it is to see Best Picture go to movies that are more interested in genuine storytelling than in being "edgy" or pushing buttons. I enjoyed both of these enormously, but I think 2010's winner was the stronger film overall.

Both brilliant. The Artist I preferred.
The King's Speech by quite a bit.
Neither were the best picture of their respective years. I enjoyed both, but never once was my mind blown in either. My opinion only of course....
The King's Speech. I liked The Artist, but The King's Speech was funnier, more dramatic, and just plain better.
