Impossible. Covering eyes and randomly clicking mouse until one is chosen. "Alien" personally impacted me more, but..."Raiders" is "Raiders." This is a job for my trusty quarter.

Oh, come ON! After 800 rankings this is the first one that has stumped me. I have no clue!
If it were Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade, this choice would be tougher. But I can pick Alien over Raiders.

RAIDERS is great fun, but when I want to curl up with a good thriller I choose ALIEN again and again. It's the most relentless and stylish effects blockbuster of its era and the monster is a better villain than anything Indy has faced.

You guys are such wimps. There is a profound scientific manner to pick here. Eenie... meenie... minie..

hardest one so far (after over 9000 rankings) wow

I disagree. If it was Aliens vs. Last Crusade then I would need a quarter. Raiders.

Both are great, but I've seen Alien many, many times and I haven't seen Raiders in a looong time.

These are both great films. Sigorney Weaver was amazing in Alien and so was Harrison Ford as Indy. They are original stories with greats twist and turns through out the film. However I think I have to go with Raiders cause of all the action I mean come on he went under a car and kicked Nazi ass.

Raiders of the Lost Ark is so much more thrilling than Alien in every regard that this decision requires no deliberation whatsoever. As cool as the creature is in Alien, the movie is still just a stalk and kill flick that even resorts to a cat scare at one point. Sure Sigourney Weaver is hot in her underwear, but Karen Allen has her charms as well. There are so many stellar action scenes and all around fun and memorable moments in Raiders that I couldn't imagine choosing Alien, or most any movie, over it.
Oh, man... Which to pick here?? Yes, Sigourney Weaver in underwear is something that is really affecting this choice, but I don't know... Well, Alien it is.
Here's why a Flickcharter's work is never done: This is the kind of decision that can change pretty much based on your mood on any given day. And my decision here has changed. Right now, I'm all for Indy.

Raiders is just so iconic, rewatchable, and all around fun. This may be because Raiders is so ingrained into my psyche from childhood, but I just can't pick Alien - probably my favorite horror film - over it.

Indiana Jones would have no problem with that alien :)

Both movies have that special something... but Alien is flawless... I go with Alien.

Easily Raiders.

The guy in the fedora wins again.

An impossible choice, hardest one so far... I ended up going with Alien though. It was the most impactful to me personally.

This might be the hardest yet.... I am gonna go with Indy. I like Aliens and Alien 3 just as much as Alien, and I really see the story as a trilogy (Resurrection is not good). Indy is just this stand alone, near perfect homage to serial adventures.
