The Terminator has too much of that creepy, '80s urban nights, atmospere to lose this duel. Cameron's movie gives me chills every single time I see it. Inception doesn't.

Right, not Inception. Still, after watching it once more, I believe I've been overly critical of the film, and am now ready to make amends. I've always rated the film highly, but, for me, the entire appeal of Inception lives and dies by plot alone (well, and Leo). Whereas other, highly placed movies offer say action, choreography, character appeal, sex appeal, cool, music etc. Inception does not, and its placing on my list has suffered as a result. However, it's plot is dense and detailed enough to overcome its shortcomings in other departments (warts, contrived expositional dialogue and all) so it is very, very enjoyable. I should credit it for excelling in one area and not penalise it for ignoring others (even if plot can be of lesser importance to me than other focal points).

I feel The Terminator hasn't aged well. Arnold did a fantastic job but I didn't find its concept that intriguing. It has to be Inception. It had great action, a sophisticated approach and memorable characters. Inception should get better with time. Now if T2 was in question, I would have hesitated....... a lot.

This is funny, that's what it is. The Terminator is a genuine and timeless classic, whilst Inception is just a smart, good sci-fi flick. In my book, very few films can hold a candle next to this "father of all action films" wich is The Terminator.

If this were Terminator 2: Judgment Day, this would be a much tougher decision. As it is, The Terminator isn't anywhere near as good as Inception. Not even close.

Terminator has better action and arnold schwarzenegger is so unforgettable.I love inception but I have to give it to Terminator.
