Inglourious Basterds vs. The Hateful Eight

Both are period movies that are directed by QT. Both really unique, but I guess The Hateful 8 was the surprisingly really goooooood.

The Hateful Eight is fantastic, but Basterds is my second favorite Tarantino film and in my top 15 all time.

Basterds, no doubt.

Inglorious Basterds is superior, not really much else to this

Hateful Eight wins it for me, as Tarantino's best movie that isn't Dogs or Pulp.

Inglourious Basterds was the better film, from story, to casting, to even the music.

Both are very talky movies, but Hateful 8's more confined space benefits the dialogue while the grander scale of Inglorious Basterds makes the dialogue feel more excessive (meaning action is sacrificed for more dialogue). Edge to 8

The one where balls are blown off to pieces. No but seriously, what's the deal with gun-castration in every one of Tarantino's last three movies (plus Pulp Fiction before that). Is this guy sick or what...
