Movies often get better with subsequent viewings, granted, put in context, the circumstances under which you watched a film dictates how the perception of that aging is skewed. Race for Your Life, Charlie Brown was first seen by me on a Saturday afternoon long ago in my youth. It seemed big, grand, smart, funny - just about everything you could hope for in a children's movie seen on the small screen. I probably missed the bus on American Psycho that I didn't see it on the big screen and wasn't awed by the depth it added to the thriller genre. In retrospect, going on the fun and incredible journey is largely more valuable an experience to me than examining the mind, but hey, it's my right to like the feel-good.
