Pan's Labyrinth is one of those films that I feel is really, truly a piece of art. But for me, movies are entertainment first and art second. I certainly think that a film can be both, but Iron Man is just too much damn fun for me to ignore in this instance. Pan's Labyrinth is beautiful, but "fun" is a bit of a stretch....

I agree with you to an extent. For me, however, Pan's Labyrinth was just as entertaining as Iron Man in its own way. So I'm picking it.
Pan's Labyrinth is indeed art and Iron Man is indeed fun, but I take art over fun in this case.
I really like both of these films, but Pan's Labyrinth is quite the experience.

Iron Man was very entertaining indeed...but in my opinion it doesn't quite match the wonderful surreal experience Pan's Labyrinth had.

Pan's Labyrinth is one of the most beautifully told stories I've ever seen put to celluloid. Vidal completely, utterly and totally destroys Stane as the antagonist, and Pan's multilayered journey and experiences makes her a more interesting protagonist. Plus, the supporting cast easily stands out more than Iron Man's.
