Two very visually striking movies with their own flaws about them. Sin City covers a lot of ground and pays for it with a disjointed story. Pan's Labyrinth fizzles out for me as it goes on. However, Pan's Labyrinth has one of the single most evil villains I've ever seen in movies. I actively hated him, and that's rare. Edge: Pan's Labyrinth.

something about Pan's labyrinth seized my attention more than sin city, which was a very good movie too.
